If it works and I like it and the users don't bitch too much that's good enough for me.

lol, barvo indeed.

On another note, I once had a SMF forum theme that was completely tableless; and of course it ran ridiculously cleanly. It was kinda stark though, and its style sacrificed a few forum functionalities that I liked.
