I know that there's an art board, but it seems like it's more geared toward art discussion. What if somebody wants to share sketches/illustrations or finished comics or get critiques on the stuff they're producing comicswise(tm)

You can make a thread for that in the art section. That would be perfectly acceptable for that category.
