Comic Competition “Europe Now”
After the turning points of the World Wars, and major steps towards the unification of Europe
and the introduction of the Euro, the financial and economic crisis has triggered a process,
the impact of which is as yet unknown. The question is: Where is Europe now?
We want to invite comic writers to capture a (the?) European reality, maybe even the
condition of the continent, as seen by the artists in a comic covering one DinA4 standard
page.
A jury will select “the best comic”, which will be awarded € 500.00. We will exhibit the entries
(originals) as far as possible during the festival. We will furthermore offer the winner-comic to
European newspapers.
The deadline for entries is 30 July 2012. Please give us the name of the artist and contact
details. Please send one digital photo (300dpi) of the comic in black/white or colour including
the name of the artist and contact details to:
