I am the guy who will do his level best to keep this forum running fast and smooth from a technical standpoint. In the grand scheme of things, I am probably the oddball in this community, since I am neither an artist nor a writer. :)
I am a computer scientist (at least that is what my degree indicates). I've been employed as a professional UNIX system, network, and software engineer within the finance industry for the past 13 years. I program in 9 or 10 different languages, and I like solving problems - when I have time, of course.
In addition to my technical background, I am married and have two children (3, if you count Rob). I served a little more than 11 years in the U.S. Air Force and earned the rank of Technical Sergeant (E-6). I did not fly for the service - I was an electronic technician. I am, however, a rated pilot and enjoy flying whenever the opportunity presents itself.
Enjoy the forum, and thank you all for letting me tag along!
Oh you SUCK!
I'll have you people know I am more than 2 years older and at least 75 pounds heavier than our good friend Chadm1n.
And I was in the Army. Getting shot at. On 3 continents. Not spit shining my shoes and hoping my soldering was good enough to pass inspection.
LOL.
Good one though.

Heya Chadm1n. In addition to being an aspiring cartoonist, I am also a bit of a tech head. I originally went to school for computer programming. I've done stuff in Basic, Pascal, Cobal, C/C++, RPG, Visual Basic, Delphi, and I also know a fair bit of HTML, CSS, PHP & MySQL. I use to fix computers and install software & components for Circuit City's version of Geek Squad.
Good to have you aboard.
