Title: I'm totally new here
Post by: operationremie on April 13, 2010, 07:26:37 PM
Hi. I'm Jeremie. Found this site while trying to research writing the script for my webcomic. And I'm really liking it.

The unfortunate thing is that I haven't done a webcomic in 3 years. A lot of family stuff happened in the past few years but I've started getting my life on track. I do, however, have 3 webcomics to my name. Nothing that was big or influential. I had fans but because of what happened, I've probably lost them. However, I decided to come back. I'm sure wish I could tell you more about it but it's really hush-hush as it is. I've changed my style over the past 3 years and feel that it will really be a better comic.

Now to get the PHP for the ComicPress/WordPress combo to work on my site...

Anyways, I should work on an avatar. And a link to the site. But it'll get here soon. I promise.

Welcome to the board!

There are other options beyond WP/CP BTW.

I'm sure there is but the place I have my site hosted from has WordPress as the main blog. And I already am use to how to post on WP. Just having an issue putting the code on the site.

Most sites give you WordPress, doesn't mean you have to use theirs.

Anyway, if you'd rather try something less bulky (http://forum.webcomicscommunity.com/index.php/topic,274.0.html) let me know.

woah...that looks so much easier. sort of like i used back when i was doing it before. i'll have to see if ipage allows PHP/mySQL (i think they do) so i might have to get this for my site instead.

Considering I just completed a doctorate and maintained a comic in some capacity, it's possible.

Hey there Jeremy, welcome aboard the gravy train. The fight is on (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjCTJE2Mz5c) between brown gravy and cream gravy (and lots of other foods). Been a long fight, gush and gore, string beans dangling from the forum post borders. You're going to have to be the deciding vote. No pressure though.

I'm not a cool kid, I use my own CMS that does, like EVERYTHING, which eventually I'll talk about.  ;D
