Hello! My name is David, and I thought this site looked like such a nice idea that it would be worth the time to sign up and hopefully even contribute. I look forward to getting to know all of you better!
I'm just barely twenty-one years old and a part time accountant, student, cartoonist, and, ah, fryer of chicken. Not a friar of chicken, sadly, though - I think that would be a bit more fun. Any way, I've been drawing since I was a tyke and recently decided to go all out and buy a tablet and web hosting and venture bravely into the great unknown of cartooning. I've been into webcomics since I started reading Penny Arcade about 7 years ago, and have since gotten into a huge variety of online comics, both long-form and gag-a-day. I'm also into literature, video and board games, and history.
Oh, and although it probably goes without saying, I draw Underling, the comic in my signature. It's only about a month old, and quite unheard of, so by all means don't take me too seriously on the business side of things. If anyone wants any help with anything art or software related - or even a suggestion for me - feel absolutely free to contact me through this post, PM, or e-mail.
Be seein' ya!
Welcome on Board! I like your work! ;)
Looks great, david! I'll be reading this during the week when I'm not at work or doing my own stuff haha.
Wow man. Your style for a newbie is amazing. You are doing things artistically by instinct that takes a lot of people a long time to learn. Seriously, great stuff.
I expect some big things from you in the future.
Welcome.

Huge thanks! But I wish that were so :-[ I may be really new to making comics, but I've been busting my
balls for a few years now to get the fundamentals of my art down. I mean, what I'm doing now looks so much better than what I was doing last year, and the entire point of this comic was to push myself much harder, but I don't want to be seen as a prodigy, because I'm certainly not. Just a well-studied upstart!
Also, thank you Rob and Vegarin as well. I'll definitely endeavor to surpass your expectations, I promise!
I just read through Underling.
Pretty interesting so far.
