I've been lurking for awhile. Black Knight put me on to this site when I became a Beta tester for his great Comic Reef program. (Was that enough of a plug Jeff?). I write and draw Magical Misfits at http://magicalmisfits.net. I also have a mirror at http://drunkduck.com/magical_misfits/. I am always trying to push the envalope with my art and try new things. I am an idiot as far as page design and I lean heavely on my friend Xade to keep me from having no site at all.
I keep body and soul together as a Chief Petty Officer in the United States Coast Guard I am 54 years old (I know right?) and I live in Alaska with my wife and Daughter. I have a son living in Arizona. Mother Coast Guard will soon be moving us to San Diego where I will be stationed on one of the Cutters there. I imagine updates will be a little sparse once I get aboard. We will have to see. One day the Coast Guard is going to realize how old I am pat me on the back present me with a shadow box and send me off to the old sailors home. I intend to hit ground running as far as my comic is concerned and see if I can move forward and maybe even put out a book or two. Anyway Hi.

Dr. BlkKnight

Good to see you finally made it here!

On the plus side San Diego puts you near Comicon. Welcome to the community  :)

On the downside even if the ship isn't underway when Comiccon comes, I have heard that it is already sold out! Maybe I can get tickets for 2011.

Welcome Ron. Glad you have you aboard (oh lordy did I just say that?).

Anyway. Always happy to welcome another military member. Make yourself at home.  ;)

I know this is a terrible reason not to read something, but I was always a bit intimidated by magical misfits enormous archive.
It felt like a big commitment to get into it!

No I understand that but up dating everyday for two years and three times a week for two more will tend to stack up some strips. Once my new site is finished a http://magicalmisfits.net I will have a synopis of the story so that readers need not wade through a thousand strips. I'm glad that's your biggest complaint. I consider it a compliment!

The thing that saves me, in terms of my archive being intimidating, is that I have the story set up in clearly marked chapters and books, and the archive page itself is sectioned that way. It gives new readers natural stopping points when they don't feel like reading for 6 hours straight. This might be more difficult to do with a strip, but if you could figure out a way to section it more, it might help.
