Hey everybody. I just started my first weekly strip a couple weeks ago, and I'd like people to check it out.

If you don't like swearing or some questionable situations, then don't read them.

Thanks a lot!

Congrats on the launch man. Good luck. What made you choose blogspot as your host just out of curiosity?

donboody

No reason in particular. I've never done any kind of blogging whatsoever, so I just kind of picked one.

Rob

Cool. There are better choices. If you are interested let everyone know. I'm sure many a suggestion will be made.  ;D

The first one was sick and twisted. Which of course makes it awesome. My first, knee-jerk impression is that this is the kind of thing that would have been perfect for MTV's Liquid Television, if it were animation. Keep up the wicked work!

Thanks a lot, Charlie. I'm updating every Monday, so be sure to check back for more twisted fun!

NEW UPDATE!

ALSO: due to popular demand that I stop goofing around with blogger and run with the big dogs over at traditional webcomic navigation, you can now read www.climaxcomics.thecomicseries.com

Not the re-vamp I had originally advertised, but the best I've got for now. Hope it satisfies!

Rob

It does navigate better but the presentation, I think, makes the comic a bit smaller than it probably should be.

But still, congrats on the upgrade.  ;)

donboody

Yeah, it's still kind of small. I'm having a hard time making the strips bigger without making them look all pixelly and gross. On it, though.

If you're worried about pixellation, you should try drawing bigger/scanning in at a higher resolution and shrinking the comic down to web size rather than drawing small and scaling up.

About 800 pixels wide is good for most screen resolutions, and I think professional comics artists draw at about 150-200% of publication size, so if you start out with the original image at 1,200-1,600 pixels wide that'll tighten up the lines a bit when you shrink it. Just remember to make your letters bigger to compensate for the shrinkage.
