Count me in
« on: January 08, 2010, 10:02:47 PM »
Hey everybody. I'm Joe and I do the fantasy adventure strip "Shattered Myth". Before March, I hadn't really drawn anything in almost 8 years. I discovered the HTMW book, which led me to discover webcomics in general, and jumped on board as quick as I could. Up until Monday, SM was done traditionally on my animation desk but I gots me a Cintiq now so I'm moving over to all digital.

It's a whole new world for me and I'm having a blast writing/drawing again, meeting like-minded creators and just enjoying the ride.

Oh man.... Cintiq.... So jealous.  :'(

I have a nice Intuous 3 but I would love me a Cintiq.

Have I mentioned I'm not an artist and what I do draw is nearly in the civally liable realm of bad art?

So your a fantasy fan? Ever heard of Black Gate Magazine? It's a mag of short fiction and gaming reviews all related to Fantasy. The managing editor is a friend. It's a great mag (published 3-4 times a year) and the art inside and around it is amazing too. They even have PDF subscription rates that are lower than thier hard copy rates.

They are on the web at blackgate.com if you ever want to check them out.

Welcome to the site and I hope you find it useful and entertaining.  ;)

I haven't heard of them before, but I'll go check them out. Thanks!
