We've all seen it happen. A webcomic's artist has a computer explosion, asks for help from their readers, and they rally to donate the money and buy the artist a new machine.

That happened to us this week. Keith's motherboard began dying. He figured he needed two hundred dollars to buy the parts to replace and upgrade his machine. I begged the readers of Mysteries of the Arcana for help.

Less than twelve hours after I posted the message, we had the money, all donated by a single reader.

It was a pretty amazing moment for me.

What about you guys. Any amazing reader moments for you?

Wow, give that reader a special wallpaper or something!

Wow, that is one generous dude or dudette.

I'm always impressed with how supportive webcomic fans are. Everytime I see a kickstarter program or donation bar, it fills up so fast!
I'm so optimistic, my blood type is 'B Positive'!

Kind of in a different direction, but I got a message from a reader a few weeks ago that made me smile pretty wide. Pictures of You is set in Canada, where I'm from, and loosely based on an East Coast city named Halifax. This reader, an American teenager just graduating and looking to go off to college, told me that he was going to college in Halifax because he was inspired to live the life I wrote about in my comic. I've had a lot of kids look up to my work and be inspired by what I do, but I'd never had anyone make a pretty major life decision because of it before, or at least not to my knowledge.

But, platitudes aside and in all honesty, I think my fans as a group are the best fans in all of webcomics. Suck it, Trebek!

Neko playing with the ball of yarn in my picture there is actually a tattoo design someone asked me for.  I don't think they got it done in the end (they never sent pics), but it was nice to be asked.
