Dragon

For 20 years, I've patiently waited for my Kavalier (cf /The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay), a kindly and somewhat malleable best friend with remarkable art skills, available to bring my graphic novel dreams into the light of day. After 20 years of waiting, I suspect my Kavlier is not on his way, so I'm trying to be my own Kavalier, and while my ability to draw the human figure may never win me any awards, its very existence is hopefully enough to be carried by my writing.

To that end, I bought a Wacom tablet and have spent the last 18 months learning and publishing my results. I've written over a 100 Dragon Comics, a 2-dimensional (visually, not, I hope, thematically) webcomic about art, identity, and depression, as see by a dragon, 3 humans, and a variety of animal friends. Now that I've achieved some understanding of the tablet and of Photoshop, I've started creating more sophisticated, complex, and professional looking webcomics, and I'm ready to get some feedback. I'm hoping I'll be ready to start drawing graphic novels this year.

I also write articles about comics in general at Panels.net and publish book reviews and other content periodically on other sites. I'm happy to discuss writing, art, comics, books, and related topics with anyone. Feel free to message me here!
