It's always that first line of introduction that gets me.

My name is Gibson Twist, creator of Pictures of You and author of Our Time in Eden, as well as a couple other defunct titles and a couple more in the planning. I've been writing and poorly drawing comics for nearly 20 years and webcomics for just over three of those. I've also written a handful of prose novels, one of which was even readable, and worked for a short time as a freelance writer. I'm a bit of a music and film snob and I'm often described affectionately as an asshole. I'm glad to find a community devoted to discussing the making of comics rather than other communities more concerned with video games and Japanese cartoons, and being a man of 35, it's nice to see that the median age around here is a little higher than a lot of other sites.

I'm going to rummage around the forum for a bit to get the feel of the place before I do too much posting, but I look forward to getting to know the other comickers here.

Actually, I'd say I'm just humble enough, but thanks! Writing is indeed my main focus and it's nice to see that it's a bigger component of the discussion here too.
